About the Artsea Artist
Lindsey Beyer is an artsea artist from a small rural town in Wisconsin. Her love for art began at a young age rearranging her house, which led her to study at the School of Creative Arts at the Professional Career Development Institute to receive her Interior Design degree. It was not long before Lindsey realized leaving the cold tundra was vital in search of more opportunities within the art industry. Taking a leap of faith, Lindsey moved across the country and found a love for the beach in Virginia. While strolling the East Coast beaches, she stumbled upon a newfound hobby of collecting seashells and sea glass; and the rest is history, literally.
Throughout the years, her creativity has flourished by facilitating positive emotions through art and attending the Visual Arts School at Tidewater Community College. Her passion for uniquely repurposing items from combining antique picking and sea glass hunting generates a mind-body connection through art. Creating colorful works of art represents healing agents that entice the senses with expressionism while unfolding history.
Lindsey creates connections with art and mental wellness while applying techniques from influential artists: Ben Giles, Georgia O’Keefe, Paul Klee, Vincent van Gogh, Wayne Thiebaud, and Carollee Vitaletti. These artists have not necessarily had the vision to create art to improve mental health; however, an art therapy enthusiast like Lindsey can envision a deeper meaning in their artwork to keep her striving to promote wellness through art.
